Restoration Agriculture

Land Stewardship Design has a deep commitment to restoration agriculture. This involves the use of sustainable practices that continually improve the health and productivity of the land. Soil, water and sunlight provides us with everything we need.

Through our continual efforts to carefully support its organic matter content, nutrient balance and microbiology we can return to the soil what it needs to continue to sustain us and all terrestrial life. What we plant, how we rotate our crops, and the judicial use of amendments all play a critical role in achieving these foundational goals for sound, on farm, environmental stewardship.

We will work with our clients to design and install:

  • Wind breaks and shelter belts for beneficial insects and reducing wind impacts
  • Pollinator belts for continual season bloom
  • Erosion control and riparian set back plantings
